Being passionate about the salt of Aveiro, we happily promote the video “Gentes da Ria: a safra do sal” [The People of the Ria: the harvest of salt]. Thus, it presents the cultural coastal and maritime heritage of the Ria of Aveiro region through the eyes of its people. They shared their experiences, traditional knowledge, expertise, and lexicon associated with these activities, which have been transferred throughout generations.

This video was developed as part of the PERICLES project ‘Preserving and sustainably governing cultural heritage and landscapes in European coastal and maritime regions’, financed by the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation program (grant agreement no. 770504).
